It is most likely Carmen would have been put to sleep if we didn’t rescue her. She was surrendered to a vet as an old and very unwell cat. CatRescue 901 saw her and offered to take her. We found a carer for her – a young man who was
The lovely rescue story below is about how much our love makes a difference. Much of it could have been written about our Lazarus. Lazarus tried to hide when he first came and he bit me regularly when he still had all his teeth. So many cats get such a
On 27 December 2016, the CatRescue 901 team rescued 50 kitties (48 kittens + 1 mama cat + 1 pregnant cat) from Blacktown Animal Holding Facility in Western Sydney. All 50 kitties were then carefully and safely transported to our team of experienced Melbourne carers who will look after them
I adopted Taila from CatRescue a few years ago as we needed a companion for my deaf rescue cat, Hamish. He was quite a large personality, so we weren’t sure how he would react to a new cat – and Taila was especially sweet.

We adopted Molly and Monty in January 2013. They were in foster care with Linda at that time. They are a beautiful addition to our family.

Meet Marmalade (M) & Snowflake(M) Hi! We’re Marmalade and Snowflake, two adorable (if we do say so ourselves) 6 month old brothers in search of our “happily ever after”. We were originally adopted from an animal shelter by a lovely family with three small children, however one of our new family members
Arrived at the Rainbow Bridge on 8 July 2012. Celebrating the life of one of my closest friends, Libby Cat. Libby, the most high maintenance, flighty, expensive and neurotic cat that I have ever had the pleasure of being owned by. The kitten who adopted Leanne and me from the
Hello my name is Tiggy and I am blind. I want to tell you my story. CatRescue was told about a blind cat who was about 8 months old with very painful eyes in Queensland and they agreed to fly me to Sydney and help me. I just wasn’t going
