Memphis is velcro-cat and if he’s not asleep on your shoulder, he’ll at least be in the same room at all times. He also loves being picked up for cuddles. Memphis loves toys, loves to greet a new person in his home and taste a new food. He’s super playful and will happily chase wand toys around the house non-stop. If there’s no toy to leap at, your feet are just as good!

 

Salem is an independent boy, and can happily entertain himself for most of the day. Once he gets used to something new though, he’s playful and curious. Although he’s quite happy snoozing on his own during the day, at night he loves to curl up next to you under the blankets and will roll over for belly rubs! Salem is generally very quiet but will use his voice to demand post-nap attention and pats.
From his foster mum: “He often spends hours on the couch with us, as I work from home he will sleep next to me almost for the whole time. He has also been coming to the door when we come back from being out (which is adorable!). He will also meow gently at us to ask for scratches or when it’s near food time. He’s not incessant, and likes an hour to himself in the morning, but otherwise he’s a constant and affectionate companion!”

How to Meet Memphis and Salem:

Our special rescue cats are all available for adoption. Please read the adoption process and contact us if you would like to organise to meet one or more of our cats/kittens. Our cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped and lifetime registered with Council, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.

1. Please contact adoptions@catrescue901.org.au or complete the form below. Include your name, phone number and cat’s name/s, and we will contact you as soon as we can.

2. We will call you to have a chat and then put you in touch with the foster carer so that you can meet them.

3. In line with ethical rescue practice, we will do a home check before the adoption is finalised and all adoptions are on a 2 weeks trial basis.

4. Adoption payments – Please ensure when adopting that you donate the adoption fee here.

5. CatRescue 901 is solely run and supported by volunteers and we rely on donations to rescue kittens and cats and to run our ongoing subsidised desexing program. If you would like to support us please make a tax deductible donation.
