Introducing a New cat or kitten to your existing cat
Getting a new cat/kitten friend for your existing cat can be exciting for you!
However, for cats it can be scary. Cats don’t like change, so bringing a new animal into their environment can be a challenge. There are steps you can take to minimize the stress for them, and as a general rule, the slower the introductions the better.
Young kittens generally adapt easily to moving into a new household. Older cats can take more time to adapt. Most of all the wellbeing of both cats is important.
There is a fountain of information out there on the steps. The following are two to assist you in introductions.
