Make a Bequest
You can change the lives of many cats now and in the future by making a bequest to CatRescue 901.
At the end of 2019, we received a bequest of $66,000. We opened a new bank account to account for the money separately and it has been used only to desex cats who are not ours. To date, we have desexed over 700 cats and we still have enough funds to desex approximately 100 more cats.
None of that bequest was used in the day to day running of CatRescue 901. Why is that? Because we believe the biggest difference we can make for cats is to desex as many as possible. With tens of thousands of stray cats in Sydney, we are seeing them getting sicker and having more congenital deformations which we believe is due to poor nutrition and poor general health. The biggest way we can make a difference is by desexing and stopping the breeding cycle.
