Larry is a shy, sweet boy who is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. He takes a little time to settle into new surroundings and will often hide at first, but with patience and gentle encouragement, Larry shows his true nature — a cuddly, purry cat who absolutely loves being patted.
Larry can hiss when approached, but it’s rarely out of fear or aggression. It’s more that he’s unsure what to do — and often, that hiss is followed by him leaning in for pats and purring almost immediately. Once he feels safe, he melts into the attention and enjoys quiet, affectionate moments with his people.
Larry would suit a calm, understanding home that can give him time to adjust and build confidence at his own pace. He is untested with dogs and children and would likely do best in a peaceful environment where he can continue to blossom into the loving companion he’s meant to be.
How to Meet Larry:
Please read the adoption process and contact us if you would like to organise to meet one or more of our cats/kittens. Our cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped and lifetime registered with Council, vaccinated twice or even three times in certain cases, flea and worm treated.
1. Please contact adoptions@catrescue901.org.au or complete the form below. Include your name, phone number and cat’s name/s, and we will contact you as soon as we can.
2. We will call you to have a chat and then put you in touch with the foster carer so that you can meet them.
3. In line with ethical rescue practice, we will do a home check before the adoption is finalised and all adoptions are on a 2 weeks trial basis.
4. Adoption payments – Please ensure when adopting that you donate the adoption fee here.
5. CatRescue 901 is solely run and supported by volunteers and we rely on donations to rescue kittens and cats and to run our ongoing subsidised desexing program. If you would like to support us please make a tax deductible donation.
