Sora had a very sad start in life as she was severely overdosed in medications as a very young kitten which led to her eye issues. In the past 2 years, she has been regularly seen by an eye specialist who finally gave us the all clear in May 2026. Whilst one of her eyes may look sad, she is anything but sad! Never met a cat with so much zeste for life! She plays like a kitten, whether it is a ball, a feather wand, a game of hide and seek with another cat in a tunnel or her lurking behind a corner ready to pounce on anyone walking past which sometimes happens to be a human! Stairs, thin ledges, big leaps, high jumps – she can do it all. Her favourite game by far is if someone is holding their glasses in their hand and she catches the light reflection. She will sit there for very long periods waiting for her favourite victim to finally take them off and start the game she has invented 🙂.
Sora loves a good cuddle too and her fur is soft like silk with a big feather duster tail. She is just gorgeous in every way! At mealtimes, she is chatty. When called she runs out to you from wherever she is impersonating a very enthusiastic puppy dog. She is good with other cats, great with people and kids and great with dogs too. We are committed to continuing to support her in her eye care should any problems arise but at this stage, the specialist doesn’t think there will be any further issues. Removing her ‘wonky’ eye would solely be for aesthetics and as it doesn’t bother her one bit, the specialist prefers to not put her under stress unnecessarily.
